We have always been aware of the glorious history of Hindavi Swarajya and the extraordinary vision, courage and leadership of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Whenever we visited the historic forts of Maharashtra, we realized that many people came there only to enjoy the trek, admire the scenery, click photographs or spend time with friends and family. However, they were often unaware of the rich history, the sacrifices of the brave warriors and the significance these forts hold in shaping our heritage.
We strongly believed that these magnificent forts are not just trekking destinations; they are living symbols of pride, bravery and inspiration. Every fort has a story to tell and every stone carries the legacy of those who fought to protect the dream of Hindavi Swarajya.
Inspired by this belief, Sahyadri Trekkers was established in 2011 with a vision to combine adventure with awareness. Our aim was not only to take people to beautiful destinations but also to introduce them to the historical importance of the forts they visit. Through our treks, we share brief yet meaningful insights into the history of these places, helping participants connect with the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj while experiencing the beauty of the Sahyadri mountains.
