Mr. Prashant Salunkhe is a passionate mountaineer, trek leader and adventure enthusiast with extensive experience in exploring the rugged landscapes of the Sahyadri mountain ranges. He has successfully completed expeditions to more than 200 forts across Maharashtra, demonstrating his deep connection with the region’s rich history and natural beauty.

After completing his graduation in Arts, Prashant built a successful career in event management and has gained valuable experience in organizing corporate engagement programs and large-scale events across India.

A dedicated Royal Enfield rider, Prashant has undertaken multiple motorcycle expeditions from Pune to Ladakh. During these journeys, he conquered the world’s highest motorable road, Umling La Pass (19,024 ft), showcasing his passion for adventure and exploration.

His travels have taken him through some of the most remote and fascinating regions of the Himalayas, including Dah-Hanu (Aryan Valley), Zanskar Valley, Turtuk, Nubra Valley, Spiti Valley, and the Siachen Glacier Base Camp. In Spiti Valley, he visited iconic destinations such as Komic Village (one of the world’s highest villages), Chicham Bridge (Asia’s highest bridge), Hikkim (home to the world’s highest post office), and Kaza, known for its high-altitude fuel station.

Beyond trekking and mountaineering, Prashant is also an avid cyclist. He actively participates in long-distance cycling expeditions, including routes such as Pune–Lonavala, Pune–Kolhapur, and Pune–Mumbai, reflecting his commitment to fitness, endurance, and outdoor adventure.

Through Sahyadri Trekkers, Prashant continues to inspire adventure seekers by promoting responsible trekking, outdoor exploration and a deeper appreciation for nature and heritage.
