Terms and Conditions

By registering for any trek, camping, mountaineering, rock climbing or adventure activity organized by Sahyadri Trekkers, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions:


1. After registration and payment, participants must complete the mandatory online disclaimer form with accurate information. Incomplete or incorrect details may result in the participant being required to resubmit the form.

2. Participants below 18 years of age must obtain consent from their parent or legal guardian before participating.

3. Consumption of alcohol, smoking, drugs, or any form of intoxication is strictly prohibited during the event. Participants found violating this rule will be removed from the event without any refund.

4. Participants must follow all instructions given by trek leaders, coordinators, and organizers throughout the event.

5. Participants are expected to maintain discipline, cooperate with fellow trekkers, and behave responsibly. Misconduct or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

6. Trekking and mountaineering activities are adventure activities and should not be considered leisure trips or picnics. Participants should be prepared for basic facilities, physical challenges and changing weather conditions.

7. Participants should avoid causing delays or inconveniences that may affect the event schedule or other participants.

8. Playing loud music, disturbing wildlife or causing environmental damage is strictly prohibited. Participants are requested to avoid using strong perfumes or deodorants during the trek.

9. Proper toilet and washroom facilities may not be available at all locations during the trek.

10. Participants must not litter and should help preserve the natural environment by following Leave No Trace principles.

11. Punctuality is mandatory. Participants must report at the designated meeting point on time. The vehicle will wait for a maximum of 10 minutes. Participants who miss the departure will not be eligible for any refund.

12. Participants are advised not to carry expensive valuables, jewellery or electronic items. Sahyadri Trekkers shall not be responsible for any loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.

13. Trekking, mountaineering and outdoor adventure activities involve inherent risks. Participants voluntarily undertake the activity at their own risk and accept full responsibility for their participation.

14. Sahyadri Trekkers reserves the right to use photographs and videos captured during the event for promotional, marketing, social media, and documentation purposes without seeking additional permission.

15. Sahyadri Trekkers reserves the right to modify, alter, postpone, reschedule or cancel any event without prior notice if required due to operational or safety reasons.

16. In the event of adverse weather conditions, natural calamities, government regulations, local authority restrictions, road closures, or any circumstances beyond our control, the event schedule may be modified, postponed or cancelled. The decision of the trek leader or organizer shall be final and binding.

18. Participants acknowledge that outdoor activities involve risks arising from terrain, weather, wildlife, transportation, and other unforeseen circumstances. Sahyadri Trekkers shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, accident, loss, damage, or mishap occurring during the event.

19. Additional Expenses:- In the event of adverse weather conditions, route changes, government restrictions, natural calamities or other unforeseen circumstances, participants may be required to bear additional expenses arising from alternative transportation, accommodation, evacuation, medical assistance or any other necessary arrangements. Any travel or personal insurance claims shall be the sole responsibility of the participant.
